The Board of Directors of the Cyprus Association for Quality in a special ceremony announcing, based on criteria, as “Cyprus Quality Leader of the year 2022” Mr. Christos Michaelides, Executive Chairman of the Cypronetwork group, on Thursday 11 May 2023 at the headquarters of the Federation of Employers & Industrial (OEB), Nicosia.
The award ceremony of the “Cyprus Quality Leader” competition is the top Quality event in our country. The committee of the Cyprus Association for Quality chose in the person of Mr. Michaelides, the Leader who has systematically and over time highlighted those characteristics that exist for a Quality Leader. Quality is defined, among others, by the traits and characteristics of a Leader such as integrity, trust, culture, strategic focus, communication, mentor, motivator, social responsibility, enthusiasm, emotional stability.
Mr. Christos Michaelides is one of the pioneers in the field of Market Research in Cyprus and has worked for a number of years as a consultant/researcher for a number of companies and organizations in Cyprus, Greece and abroad. He has expertise and at the same time extensive experience and a relationship in market/public opinion surveys, socio-economic issues, extensive experience in project management (35 years), Strategic Planning, service development, communication and the design and management of Quality and Management Systems . The Cypronetwork Group’s activity addresses every sector, including media, retail, industry, professional services, construction and tourism etc., both in the Public and Private sectors.
Being an active, visionary, pioneer and efficient businessman, Mr. Michaelides was, among others, President of the Federation of Employers and Industrialists (OEB), President of the Cyprus Association, President of the Business Representatives of the Cypriot German Cultural Association, founding member and Secretary General of the Cyprus Association of International Business (CiBA) and member of the Board of Directors of the Ports Authority and EBE Limassol. He is an accredited Management Consultant, Honorary President of the Cyprus Association of Business Consultants, Honorary member of CIBA and Honorary Fellow of the Cyprus Institute of Marketing.
The Cyprus Quality Leader competition was organized this year for the 11th consecutive year by the Cyprus Association for Quality as a Member and National Representative in Cyprus of EOQ. The winner’s award is given to a senior executive of a business/organization who is deemed to be promoting Quality. The evaluation and selection of the winner is conducted according to specific criteria and weighting factors established by EOQ.
